New Stuff!

In April of 2017, I was interviewed by Alan Eisenberg on his podcast called HealthyU, where Michelle shares her story of becoming a published author, motivational speaker, and co-founder of PIVOT, a soon-to-be non-profit helping to empower teenagers. You can listen to the full interview here.

In May of 2017, I helped created a promotional video for FITGirl Inc, an Omaha-based non-profit whose mission is to empower teenage girls. Summer camp dates are full for the 8-11 year olds, but there are still a few spots for the 12-14 yr olds. As the Empowerment Director for FITGirl Inc, I help the girls build confidence, tackle fears, and use their inner power.

For a good chuckle with a visit from WONDER WOMAN herself, check out this great video!

The Art of Following Your Compass continues to flourish and evolve just as we doOnly on Facebook, this group is intended for those who want to be more authentic in their lives, as they learn to listen to their hearts more and more. It is in the sharing of experiences and stories that we are able to learn more about ourselves.

In December of 2016, Constant Change began offering individual empowerment coaching to teenagers and adults. More people began asking Michelle to assist them as they work through different stages of their lives, including overcoming fear and anxiety, tackling new challenges, and instilling self confidence.

Important Events:

On June 11, 2017, I will be at the Papillion Book Festival from 10am-12pm, being held at the Sump Memorial Library, located in Papillion, Nebraska. Joined by more than 30 other local authors, you will have the chance to visit with me, get an autograph, and even purchase one of my two published book. I will also share more about the book I am currently writing and other ideas for future books.

I will be very busy in July 2017 as I will spend 3 whole days with 70 girls at the FITGirl Inc Summer camp. One weekend will be with the 8-11 year old and the next one will be with the 12-14 year olds. There are still a few openings for the older girls, but register soon — there are only a limited number of spots available. (The younger group camp is completely sold old.) You can find out more information at FITGirl’s website.

In January 2017, Michelle will again partner with FITGirl Inc. to teach EmpowerU at Millard Central Middle School.

Optimist and Rotary Speeches

During the month of March, Michelle spoke at two local organizations about the challenges kids face and their inability to be resilient to life.

Michelle has long been connected to kids:

She has been a Sunday School teacher, Junior Achievement Volunteer, high school girls’ varsity and JV tennis coach, and as the juvenile community service coordinator for Sarpy County, in addition to many others.

In addition, she and her husband have raised three boys.

She has been their instructor, facilitator, or coach.

She has also been their cheerleader.

Now she is also their advocate.

Michelle never claims to be an expert in child rearing or teenagers, nor does she hold a degree in psychology.  She will tell you she was never a perfect mom either.

However, her commitment to the betterment of the mindset of the youth she encounters  and the ones she may never meet has allowed her to become a voice for those who might be a little unsure of how to navigate life.
